HOTEL AND WATER SPORTS CENTRE MANAGER • IKO LEVEL 3 INSTRUCTOR
Alex, an IKO Level 3 instructor and manager of the hotel and water sports centre, is originally from Toulouse.
With over 20 years’ experience in kitesurfing, he was one of the first to develop and teach wingfoil in Madagascar.
Having lived in Sakalava Bay for over 15 years, he now puts his in-depth knowledge of the spot to good use for our guests, providing safe and personalised instruction

FOUNDER OF THE OCEAN LODGE • J+S INSTRUCTOR
Thierry, a Swiss native and founder of Ocean Lodge as well as a J+S instructor, has always been passionate about water sports.
He enjoys sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing and wingfoiling, and set up Ocean Lodge in 2018 with a simple idea: to offer well-organised, friendly and relaxed kitesurfing holidays in the stunning setting of Sakalava Bay

QUALITY AND HOSPITALITY MANAGER
Winner of the women’s slalom title at Festikite 2022 and a keen kitesurfer, Florine has over 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry in Madagascar.
She supports and trains the teams to ensure a high standard of service.

Nono, Vince, Félicien, Brice and Moustapha make up the team at the Ocean Lodge water sports centre.
The team consists of IKO-certified instructors and experienced assistants who practise kitesurfing, windsurfing and wingfoiling.
Knowledgeable, attentive and passionate, they will support you throughout your stay, whether you’re learning, improving your skills or need assistance on the water.
