1. How to get here and transfer rates
A
From Europe
There are two ways to reach northern Madagascar: via Antananarivo (Tana) followed by a domestic flight to Diego-Suarez, or via a direct flight to the island of Nosy Be (Ethiopian Airlines, Neos Air) for an idyllic island hopping holiday.

The transfer from Nosy Be
We coordinate your entire journey: a 45-minute speedboat crossing to the port of Ankify (Big Island), followed by immediate transfer in a private 4x4 for a 4½ to 5-hour journey to the Lodge. pour un voyage de 4h30 à 5h jusqu'au Lodge.

Diego-Suarez ➔ Le Lodge
Sakalava Bay is a protected natural area. The final leg of the journey, lasting around 45 minutes, takes you along a rough sandy track. Our dedicated hotel 4x4s will ensure a relaxed transfer.

The Ocean Lodge was designed so that adults can ride or relax while the kids explore the surroundings in complete peace of mind. The layout of our eco-friendly facility is perfectly suited for family vacations.

Our IKO-certified instructors teach young surfers aged 12 and up, using ultra-light equipment and audio-guided helmets designed to fit their body type.

The Amber Mountain
A high-altitude tropical rainforest national park. Ideal for spotting diurnal and nocturnal lemurs, micro-chameleons (Brookesia), sacred waterfalls, and lush endemic flora. A refreshing escape into nature.
Board a traditional Ramena sailboat to reach a crystal-clear lagoon with unreal emerald-green hues. Spend a relaxing day snorkeling among the coral reefs and enjoy a traditional lunch of grilled fish on a deserted islet.
The Emerald Sea
A geological wonder unique in the world, formed by erosion. These fairy chimneys, composed of sandstone, laterite, and clay, feature ephemeral natural sculptures in stunning shades of red and ochre.
The Red Tsingy
Walk or drive along the three pristine bays that border the lodge: Sakalava, Pigeons, and Dunes. A stunning coastal excursion featuring white sand, sacred cliffs, turquoise inlets, and historic remnants of colonial fortifications.
The Three Bays
Visit this vast, wind-sheltered golden-sand beach, perfect for swimming in calm waters. Experience the authentic atmosphere of the village and enjoy fresh grilled fish at the small, traditional seaside eateries.
Ramena Beach
Explore the Diego Suarez region and its trails at your own pace with our partner, DS Moto. Rent a motorcycle or ATV and have it delivered directly to the lodge so you can get around on your own.
